Beauty Tips Before That Special Event
All the beauty secrets you need right before that special event

Have a big event coming up in just a few days?
Read through these quick tips and shortcuts to beauty.

Get Enough Sleep. One of the most important support systems of beauty is sleep. Make sure you have plenty of sleep the night before the event. According to skin experts, a good night sleep of 8-9 hours is equivalent to a beauty treatment. Tired eyes will go away and your organs and skin will have more time to toss out dead cells and leave you with a glow.

Stay Hydrated. The best way to make cells shine is with lots of water.  Drink plenty of water and if water gets too boring, add a splash of cranberry or pomegranate juice. The antioxidants will add to your glow.  You may also drink green tea which is a great fat burner.

Minimize Carbs. You may not be on a strict diet, but you should still try to eliminate simple carbohydrates such as white bread, rice, pasta and sugar. These contain a lot of empty calories and mess up your blood sugar level. Keep to a healthy assortment of vegetables, fruit and lean protein.

Stay Away From Alcohol.  Not only it has a lot of calories and it slows down your metabolism, it dries the skin out and tires you out at the same time.

Minimize Salt Intake.  Resist sprinkling salt on your meals.
Sodium causes you to retain water and bloat.

Get an Early Facial.  A facial before your event will help your complexion glow.  Don’t get a facial or peel too close to a party. This should be done one week before an event in order for your skin to calm down after treatments.  Also, try to use facial products that your skin has already gotten used to.

Exfoliate. Once exfoliated, your skin is promoted to regenerate fresh skin and maintain a great cellular turnover rate, which will keep you looking younger than ever. Exfoliate your entire body in the shower the night before the party for smooth, gleaming skin.

Moisturize. Excellent moisturizers help to keep skin supple as well as help seal your natural fluids and water - which enable your skin to be elastic and full for optimum beauty. Stick to botanical moisturizes that are pure and fresh. Extra moisturize before an event and apply your moisturizer with massaging movements to stimulate blood circulation.

Fix Puffy Eyes. The fastest way to fix puffy eyes or dark circles is to first brew two green tea bags, and let them cool. Then lie down and place them over your eyes for 10 minutes. The caffeine will tighten the tissue and reduce swelling.

Voluminous and Shiny Hair The day of the event. Use a volumizing shampoo to give your hair extra body. Follow with a deep-conditioning hair masque. Leave it on for three to five minutes for major shine.

Hair Change! If you plan on switching up your hairstyle or hair color, avoid anything drastic on the day of an event. Dying your hair could go terribly awry, or, you could end up with a hairstyle far from what you expected. Instead, meet with your hair stylist a week before for color and/or cut to provide him/her ample time to correct it if need be.

Look your best.  Feel Great.  And, enjoy that special event.
